History:
2001 - created STS and began with single boys middle school team (played
1 game against a team from S. FL). Clearwater and Wesley Chapel also began programs.
2002 - STS plays first
“season” against local start-up programs, STS 501(c)(3) non-profit status established Plant Varsity.
2003
- added STS JV comprised of most Plant student players
2004 -
added a Youth program to build feeder program, STS JV became Plant Varsity, established annual STS/Plant Fall Clinics to introduce
new players to game
2005 - added
STS girls varsity, established a Plant JV
2006
- Plant Varsity boys win first West Florida Lacrosse League Championship
and go on to win the first ever Club State Championship held at Disney Sports Complex against Dwyer School.
2007
- Boys again win WFLL Championship and runner up to Douglas School in State Finals
at Disney, Florida Gulf Coast chapter of US Lacrosse is established and recognized nationally.
2008
- FHSAA recognizes lacrosse
as a sanctioned varsity sport in the State of Florida. STS adds a middle school girls program. Plant adds
a 2nd varsity team in the “B” division of WFLL.

STS/Plant signs agreement with School Board for the use of Anderson Elementary Athletic
Fields and secures a permanent home.
Plant
Varsity Boys win WFLL Championship undefeated within region. Again, runner up in State Finals (in overtime loss) to
Palm Beach Gardens (20-0 in undefeated season).
Plant
Varsity B and Girls HS make WFLL playoffs, but lose in first round.
