Wounded Warrior Lacrosse Tournament
Plant Boys Varsity Parents, Our opening game is this Friday,
Feb 12th, at Lake Howell HS in Orlando at 8:00pm (game time is incorrect on the official Wounded Warrior materials).
This game is a part of FACE OFF FOR A CAUSE, which benefits the Wounded Warrior Project (go to link above for more information
about the Wounded Warrior Project and complete game schedules). This is a 2-day lacrosse tournament which features the states
top high schools on Friday and College games on Saturday.
We are required to sell 200 tickets for participating
in this event. The ticket is good for admission for all games Friday and College games on Saturday. You must buy tickets in
advance, $20 per ticket - with a $5 return to our team. This means we need to sell about 7 tickets per player.
This
is a great opportunity for our team to play in a high level tournament while supporting a great cause. We encourage you to
bring out all of your friends and relatives to support the boys in this big game. I will be at practice on Wednesday and Thursday,
selling and handing out tickets for our team/ parents. Please stop by or send in a check or cash for your tickets with your
player either day. (Checks should be made out to: The Samaritan Team, Inc.) Tickets are required for admission! If you miss
me either day, you can call me at 765-0626 to make other arrangements. Thank you for your support of Plant Lacrosse.

Update on Anderson field lights
I reported to you that we had signed a contract for lighting in December and it appeared we would have
lights at Anderson for our current season. As with most construction projects, our plan immediately hit an obstacle. Taking
delivery on the lights and poles was delayed for nearly 2 months. There have been additional delays as a result of permitting
which is coordinated through the school board. Currently, our most optimistic installation date would be around daylight savings
time; however, we don't need lights once the time changes. For that reason, our Board of Directors has decided to postpone
installation until the fall to save nearly $2,000 in interest payments on our financing package. This will also give us more
time to raise additional money and potentially reduce the overall financing expense. The board felt that this was the most
financially prudent thing to do given that the lights would not be ready for when needed. We do anticipate that we will have
the permanent lights installed in early fall.
Thank you for all your support, Dave German STS/Plant Lacrosse
