The mission of South Tampa Sticks Youth Lacrosse is to promote and honor the amateur sport of lacrosse among the youth of Tampa Bay for the purpose of developing a love of the game through positive coaching, community among players, parents, coaches and officials, teaching life lessons beyond the playing field, recoginition of all players, and participation regardless of ability, talent or skill.

A chapter of US Lacrosse (Ocala to Naples) is in its second year as a chapter of US Lacrosse.The foundation of our chapter is in making safety a priority, developing great coaches,officials and players. To this end, we will create excellent training programs and provide support for each member. The Florida Gulf Coast Chapter is made up of lacrosse programs from Ocala to Naples, Florida. There are 3 clusters within the chapter- Greater Tampa, Port Charlotte/Ft Myers and Naples.

Off Season Lacrosse Opportunities:
There are a number of opportunities for players, both experienced and novice, to continue playing outside of their regular team season. The level of competition, amount of travel and degree of time and financial commitment varies among the programs so please click on the links provided to learn more about each program.

Tampa Bay Fire

The Tampa Bay Fire program is a comprehensive player developmental system that is designed
to build skill sets that lead to an ability to compete at the college-level while leveraging the
recruiting process to increase school connections, options, and choices.
The Tampa Bay Fire holds tryouts annually for each of it's teams. Tryouts are typically held on the first weekend of every December for the upcoming season. The tryout experience is organized as a 2-1/2 day evaluation process that includes the participation of college coaches, MLL/NLL players, and team coaches and officials in making team selections.

The Tribe exists to provide a cost-effective opportunity for lacrosse players to expand their mastery of the game and to be exposed to college recruiters. The Tribe will achieve its vision by holding regularly scheduled practices designed to provide individual skills improvement, physical fitness training and conditioning, and ‘team-concept' lacrosse development.
